Gates Measure implements ARCore depth API integration to achieve measurement accuracy within 2-3% margin of error across distances from 10cm to 50 meters. The calculation engine processes real-time camera feed at 30fps, applying advanced computer vision algorithms to detect surfaces, edges, and spatial anchors.
The app utilizes multi-point calibration system where users place virtual markers on physical surfaces. Each marker creates a spatial anchor with 6DOF tracking, maintaining position accuracy even when the device moves. The measurement pipeline calculates distances using Euclidean geometry between anchor coordinates in 3D space, compensating for camera lens distortion and device orientation drift.
Blueprint export functionality converts measurement data into DXF and PDF vector formats with scale annotations. The rendering engine maintains measurement precision to 0.1mm on exported documents, supporting imperial and metric unit systems with automatic conversion. All calculations run locally on device without requiring internet connectivity, ensuring data privacy and instant results regardless of network conditions.
